Pictures to Share

Winter is a time to gather golden moments and enjoy every idle hour.
~John Boswell

Before you get started, I must first apologize to all true photographers out there, and I clarify that I am NOT making claims at being an exceptional picture-taker! Here are a few pictures of things that caught my eye on a recent snowshoe out back. It was a cold late afternoon, about 8 degrees, and the sun would set in a little over an hour.  Thus, if a picture is worth a thousand words, mine may be worth a few dozen! Therefore, I will let my pictures do the talking today! Come along....

  1. Thank you for taking us along on your nature walk this evening. I have only been able to gaze at mountains in person for a couple days of my 47 years and thought they were breathtaking. I don't think any camera could ever give them true justice. I think you did a perfectly good job with your photos!

  2. Aww, Colleen, thank you! I really need a better camera than the small cheap digital one I have. I could borrow my daughter's, but I'd probably drop it! I suppose our Adirondacks aren't as big as the Rocky Mountains, but they are beautiful. I guess we take them somewhat for granted and assume everyone can share in their majesty as we do that live in and amongst them.

  4. Thank you Ulrike. I love being out in the woods, especially at wintertime, as it is so quiet, lovely and still. I always find something to peak my curiousity too! I cannot imagine what critter left the tracks in the sixth picture, nor where they were trying to go!
